 “… the most important thing in cases of missing partners is that the agency agencies have to work together. , sure that if we do we’ll have more chances of success and for those who work with missing persons, that I know, we know that we have our obstacles, that we have our lack of resources sometimes, and we have to our daily fight against the bureaucracy. But please, you have to think that behind each father, if family is waiting for the relatives and that it can happen to any of us.”

In this first episode of season 2, we talk to Leticia Risco who shares her vast experience dealing with different types of abductions in Argentina and South America. She highlights how many abductions include a component of violence and abuse. The need for better collaboration between professionals so as to protect the most vulernable.

Leticia Risco

Leticia Risco is a lawyer with experience in public policies, management and criminology. For more than 10 years she has lead the team that designed, implementedand managed the Federal System for Missing Persons in Argentina. Currently, she is representing her country in a Program of the Department of State at the University of Minnesota.
